 At age 16, Tony Huesman was diagnosed with viral cardiomyopathy, a degenerative heart disease. By the time he was 20, Tony's heart had worn out. On August 30, 1978, Tony received a heart transplant operation at Stanford University Medical Center.
Since then, Tony has returned to Dayton, Ohio where he founded the Huesman Heart Foundation and has raised thousands of dollars for heart healthy educational programs in Dayton area schools.
